After seeing your previous journal I decided to try a .3mm pencil myself. I suspect it isn't as nice as your but at least it was fairly cheap.

.3mm is pretty awesome. Almost like a Lead Holder but with out the mess. I'm using "B" hardness lead. What about you?

H or HB is what I put in all my mechanical pencils. softer leads tend to break more.

As for "nice", what works for you is the best tool for you. The $15 price tag on mine was absurd even for me, so having it feel a little better than the other one I used was a relief. My fear was that I bled out my wallet for a pretty color and nothing else.
All my other pencils are $6 and under.
