Havent slept - and gun related question

Journal Entry: Fri Apr 17, 2009, 3:57 PM
I'm more surly then usual today. >=/ I'm so very annoyed by this. The temps are getting warmer so I just flopped around the whole time. There's always a adjustment period with season changes.

ALSO GUN STUFF.
Do any of you know anything about some supposed "microchipping" or "gunpowder expiration" involving ammo? If you do, plz link my face to such resources, as I cannot seem to find anything. My only source I've found of this are from panicky hillbillies angry a black democrat is in office. yes. (and I don't mean that in a "well they're racists to oppose him!" ..they're actually racist.)

I hate guns (irrational fear even when unloaded), but am surrounded by hobbyists and responsible hunters, so I'm curious.

Hmm nothing on chipping, but there is a big issue about coding ammo. Cant control the guns control the ammo.
As for the gunpowder experation there little to no talk aboput it. Offical talk anyways. Bunch a rumors, and worries, but I doubt they would go through with adding a chemical to make gunpowder expire. To many people would get angry. Hope the web address below answers some of your questions.

wow.. that's a crappy page with no actual sources on it. Thanks. I'm becoming more convinced it's just redneck fear mongering.

Ya sorry it was the best I could find. And ya chances are it is just that.

"but am surrounded by hobbyists and responsible hunters, so I'm curious."

here's a saying I learned about guns........

"a gun in the hands of a responsible person makes the neighbourhood safer"

too many people tend to look at criminals when asked about guns......they don't know that responsible people also use them as well

2.strike fast

I am a gun owner and have not heard of any such chemical that would cause powder to expire. Powder for the most part won't go bad unless it is exposed to moisture.

Microchips, there have been different technologies. One technology involved a ring that the user would need to ware for the weapon to discharge. There is a newer technology that is biometric using the fingerprint to fire. Both technologies are unreliable and may cause the weapon to be useless when it is actually needed and with any technology that is used to prevent the "element" from gaining control, there is always a way to bypass it.

Serializing a round is stupid as you can always press your own rounds.

In the end, all such measures are not intended for safe operations. They are intended to either raise the cost, over-regulate and render inoperable so that law abiding citizens can't have them but this never has stopped a criminal. It only serves to stop the law abiding from stopping the element bent on destruction of the innocent and their property.

oh yeah. one of the claims was that they would make pressing your own ILLEGAL. I forgot to add that.
I'm pretty sure it's a crock of shit. Was worth asking around to verify though. Thanks.

Google "opensource firearms".

Even if they ban guns, there will be those with just enough skill to make their own.

Then again, why piss around with guns when you can build your own missile from readily available and legal parts.

"In 2003, Bruce Simpson shook the US and NZ Governments when he claimed he could build a simple but effective cruise missile for under US$5,000. "

I dont know anything about current chipping programs but I do remember a drive in the mid to late nineties to attempt to get all guns fingerprint locked. But the technology was not really reliable enough. Someone could, in theory, print a black and white fingerprint pattern and activate the gun.

I've been hearing interesting things on a site I cross posted this to. So far nothing involving the stuff I was initially told by the conspiracy theorists.
